Hello Everyone!
I have not emailed in such a long time! So many things have been going on with the Smith Family!
Payton
On Aug. 5th, Payton Coverstone Smith turned 1! Isnt that crazy! That year just flew by so quickly! We had a little luau with family and friends. It was a lot of fun. Payton started walking at 11 months. She is quite the little cruiser, getting into EVERYTHING!!! Why did we want her to walk? At her year check up she was 29 " tall and only 18 lbs 15 oz. She was only in the 13 percentile for weight. Shes our little peanut. She is gaining weight now that she can drink cows milk. Some of you might remember, she had an intolerance to my breastmilk when she was born, so I had to cut all dairy out of my diet. Well, it paid off because she can drink milk just fine now. :) She is saying more and more everyday. She just learned how to say the infomous "uh oh." She can also say, "Alex, Ma ma, ba ba (bottle), Da da, Addy, Hi, bye, hot, and up." We are continuing with our signing also. She can sign "eat, all done, more, please, thank you, bath, and we are working on your welcome." She is so much fun and we all enjoy her everyday.
Alex
Alex is doing so great. He also had a birthday on Aug. 13th. He is a big 9 year old. He had his party at Sunsplash Waterpark. It was a beautiful day and the whole family and friends had fun getting soaked in the sun. We also went to this pizza place called Incredible Johns for dinner. It had video games, rides, and pizza, what more could a 9 year old want?? He started 3rd grade on Aug. 20th. He loves his teacher, Mrs. Webb. She started off the school year with science, which Alex loves. He is also super excited to be learning cursive. He practices his name quite often. He started soccer at the end of Aug. too. He is having a great time and meeting new friends. He is still participating in Kuk Sool Won, his martial arts school. He is currently a brown stripe. He is going to have a test in Dec. to become a brown belt, so he is dilligently training. :)

Some super exciting news is that my sister and her family have moved to Yuba City! We are loving that she is here. Her husband is a California Highway Patrol officer and he got a job offer in Sacramento, so they moved to Yuba because it's only about a 1/2 hour from Sac. It is wonderful to have her around and the kids love to see each other so often.
Ryan and Crystal
Ryan and I are doing well. Our 3rd anniversary is right around the corner (on the 25th of Sept.) We decided to treat ourselves and go to Maui for our anniversary. It was soooo much fun. Thank goodness for my Mom. Grandma watched the kids. We went for a week and really enjoyed it. We would love to go back again with the kiddos. Some fun things we did were: go snorkling, go on a helicoper ride, boogy board, see the sites, shop, and go on a dinner cruise. It was a lot of fun to just be with eachother. We highly recommend it as a vacation spot! :)
